Glens Falls man accused of driving stolen car to steal tow truck charged in other thefts

A 19-year-old Glens Falls man accused of driving a stolen car to steal a tow truck is facing more charges in connection with other vehicle thefts.

Glens Falls Police said Dakotah R. McNabb stole a Rutland Gas Company fuel delivery truck on Oct. 16. McNabb was seen near the truck and was wearing a hard hat and safety vest bearing the name of the company that was found in the vehicle, according to a news release from the Glens Falls Police Department.

McNabb was arrested and charged with criminal possession of stolen property. He was released and is due in Glens Falls City Court at a later date and time.

The following day, McNabb is accused of stealing a Subaru Crosstrack from a tow company storage lot on Maple Street. Police said he then allegedly drove that vehicle to a South Glens Falls tow company lot and stole a flatbed tow truck. McNabb was located with the stolen tow truck on Maple Street by Glens Falls Police.

McNabb faces additional charges of grand larceny and criminal possession of stolen property.

He was turned over to New York State Police, which handled the investigation into the stolen truck from South Glens Falls and reported that arrest.
