Two bodies found in northern Vermont; Police can’t confirm they are missing Mass. men

Vermont State Police said Wednesday that two bodies were discovered in a wooded area in Lamoille County but have not yet confirmed they are the two missing Massachusetts men.

At a news conference, police said the bodies were discovered in a wooded area in Eden along Albany-Eden Road in a northern part of Vermont. Eden is about 25 miles south of Canada.

A game warden with the Vermont Department of Fish and Wildlife located some evidence several dozen feet off the road in the town of Eden. Police secured the scene overnight. On Wednesday morning, they found the first body. A second body was found that afternoon about a mile north of where the first one was found, according to a news release.

Police have not yet determined that they are the bodies of Jahim Solomon, of Pittsfield, and Chicopee resident Eric White. Both men are 21 and were last seen on Oct. 15. Autopsies will be done.

However, police are treating the deaths as homicides.

No arrests have been made in the case. However, police said they are looking at several persons of interest.

Police believe there is no threat to the public.
