A Troy business owner surprised his father with a special honor on Friday.

Mark Morine owns Big Bellies Deli across the street from the Snowman. He unveiled a military banner for his dad.

Bernie served four years in the Air Force and 22 in the Army. Bernie has also worked for the state for 54 years.

Bernie said he had no idea the honor was coming.
