Gov. Kathy Hochul signed seven pieces of legislation on Friday aimed at providing resources to veterans and their families.

The bills include an update to allow career members of the armed forces tax exemptions to remain in the state.

They also allow vets and members of Gold Star families free access to state parks, historic sites, and recreational facilities in the state. In addition, they require Small Business Revolving Loan Fund within New York’s Empire State Development Corporation to market to veteran-owned enterprises and service-disabled veteran-owned enterprises.
