NY summer camps can now hire licensed mental health professionals

A new state law allows summer camps to hire psychologists and social workers.

Gov. Cuomo just signed the law lifting a previous ban.

The law will allow camps to hire licensed mental health professionals on staff starting next year.

The law also allows chiropractors and therapists to be hired at camps that serve kids with special needs.

The American Camping Association has been lobbying for the changes for years.
