WATERVLIET – Crews are working to bring down three buildings in Watervliet after a fire destroyed them last month.
Because this fire destroyed these buildings to a point where they were deemed unsafe, nobody could go into these buildings. So it has to be treated as if there is asbestos inside, which means they have to use more caution.
Workers with the demo team tell NewsChannel 13 the streets still need to be cleaned before they can start demolishing.
Last week, the Arsenal City Tavern held a fundraiser for the fire victims and the city also collected household items for them.
