Amsterdam is getting $55,000 to enhance park safety.

The money will go towards installing a new camera system in each of the city’s parks, according to Assemblyman Angelo Santabarbara.

This is in response to public concerns following a shooting at a basketball tournament at the park last August and benches that were stolen from the park recently.
