Troy Police getting $362,000 grant to purchase technology including new cameras, license plate readers and a drone.
The Troy Police Department is getting $362,000 in state funding for technology upgrades.
The department plans to improve and expand the city camera system including network improvements.
“This is a huge win for the Troy Police Department,” said Mayor Carmella Mantello in a statement. “My administration remains committed to creating a safer community for our residents. This funding will help us solve and prevent all levels of crime.”
There are also will be upgraded license plate readers and the purchase of a new drone.
