Zach Richter
Zach Richter joined the NewsChannel 13 team in June 2024 as a Multimedia Journalist.
He is from New York City. After graduating from the Birch Wathen Lenox School, he went on to Syracuse University.
At SU, Zach graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. in Broadcast and Digital Journalism from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. Here is where he truly found his interest for local news. Being exposed to two different news stations, there were constant opportunities to tell stories that could make a difference in the community.
At NCC News, Zach anchored and produced the 4:00 newscast and was a member of the investigative Newhouse Spotlight Team.
Zach was also a member of CitrusTV where he anchored, produced, and reported for the station’s flagship show, News LIVE at 6.
Zach also has previous network experience from working with NBC’s Top Story with Tom Llamas, Fox News Media’s multimedia reporters, and Fox Businesses’ Cavuto: Coast to Coast.
When not reporting, Zach could probably be found on the slopes somewhere in the Capital Region as he is an avid snow skier, having grown up skiing in the region.
Zach is also a big sports fan with his two favorite teams being the Yankees and the Islanders and he also never misses watching a golf or tennis major.
