Apple picking in the summer is a reality at Indian Ladder Farms.

The perfect combination of warm temperatures and ample rainfall during the spring somewhat accelerated the ripening process and created an abundant apple harvest, they said.

This year’s summer varieties include favorites such as Pristine, Dandee Red, Summer Mac, Gingergold and more.

Laura Ten Eyck, the manager of Indian Ladder, said that when the first apples of the year ripen, it is an exciting time.

“We’re thrilled to offer our visitors an early taste of these wonderful fruits of summer and hope to see many families and friends out in the orchards enjoying the experience. Apple picking isn’t just for fall!”

Blueberries and red raspberries are also available to pick your own.
