Forest rangers rescue man stranded near Greene County waterfall
Forest rangers on Saturday rescued a man from Brooklyn who had gotten stranded near a Greene County waterfall during heavy rain.
The 23-year-old had been stuck on the other side of the Fawn's Leap waterfall in Hunter around 7 p.m. because of the high water.

The 23-year-old had been stuck on the other side of the Fawn’s Leap waterfall in Hunter around 7 p.m. because of the high water. Five rangers set up a rope system to rescue him, according to the Department of Environmental Conservation.
After raising him from the location, the rangers waded with him across the creek to safety.
The scene was clear at 9:10 p.m.
