Chase leads to weapons, drug charges for Watervliet man
A Watervliet man is facing weapons and drug charges after a pursuit.
Daryl Taylor Jr., 33, allegedly threatened another person with a handgun outside a Dollar Tree located on Broadway, Watervliet Police said. Taylor then left in a vehicle and police caught him after a brief chase.
Police said a search of his vehicle and a residence on the 1100 block of 6th Avenue found an illegal .380 caliber loaded handgun, nearly 49 grams of crack cocaine, around 23 grams of cocaine and nearly $6,200 in cash.

Police searched his vehicle and a residence on the 1100 block of 6th Avenue, and found an illegal .380 caliber loaded handgun, 48.6 grams of crack cocaine, 22.5 grams of cocaine and $6,191 in cash.
Taylor is facing a long list of charges, including criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of narcotics, criminal possession of a controlled substance cocaine, criminal use of drug paraphernalia, reckless endangerment, menacing and obstruction.
