Bennington woman accused of stealing crossbow

A Bennington woman is accused of stealing a crossbow from her parent’s home.

Savannah Stanley, 24, took the weapon without permission from the home on Blueberry Hill Road in Pownal on Sept. 24, Vermont State Police said.

Police found the crossbow and returned it to the owner.

Stanley was charged with petit larceny. She is due to appear in Bennington Superior Court on Nov. 18.
