Cohoes man arrested on multiple drug charges after joint investigation
The Rensselaer County Sheriff’s Office arrested Bryon L. Robinson, 42, of Cohoes on multiple drug-related charges following a joint investigation with the Office’s Criminal Investigations Unit and the Cohoes Police Department Detectives.
Robinson was found to be in possession of over 10 grams of cocaine, a set of brass knuckles, a high capacity magazine, packaging materials, and scales, said the Sheriff’s Office.
The Sheriff’s Office says Robinson was charged with one count of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
Authorities say investigation focusing on the sale of cocaine and fentanyl led to Robinson’s arrest on October 2.
The charges Robinson faces stemmed from two search warrants that were executed by the Rensselaer County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Services Unit in collaboration with the Cohoes Police Department, said the Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities say the executed search warrants took place at 81 Manor Sites and 3 McElwain Avenue in Cohoes.
Police say he was taken into custody without incident, arraigned in Cohoes City Court, and remanded to the Albany County Jail in lieu of $45,000 cash bail, $25,000 bond, or $50,000 partially secured bond.
