Mac-n-Cheese Bowl to take over Remsen Street in Cohoes
The 14th annual Mac-n-Cheese Bowl is happening on Cohoes on Saturday.
More than 20 restaurants will provide samples for the event on Remsen Street.
The event raises money for the Regional Food Bank.
Last year, nearly 3,000 people attended the event, according to Michael-Aaron Poindexter, chief program officer for the organization. He said he is looking forward to seeing the unique samples that each restaurant will come up with.
“The root of it is that it supports our neighbors in need. We know that the need across our Capital District and our 23-county footprint is increasing dramatically. And this is just going to support the need, help us to raise funds so that we can get more food to the people who need it the most.”
Tickets cost $35 for samples from every tasting station or $55 for VIP tickets that include beer samples. They can be purchased at the event.
