Boys & Girls Clubs gets big grant to expand Capital Region after school programs

Boys and Girls Clubs of the Capital Area has received a five-year grant award of $11.4 million from the New York State Office of Children and Family Services.

Boys and Girls Clubs of the Capital Area has received a five-year grant award of $11.4 million from the New York State Office of Children and Family Services.

The funding will enable the Boys and Girls Club to launch after school programs at new locations, and expand capacity at existing sites.

The new after school locations will be at Arbor Hill Elementary and Thomas O’Brien Academy of Science and Technology in Albany, and School 2, School 14 and Carroll Hill School in Troy.

The expansion of existing after school programs will be at Pine Hills Elementary School, Albany School of Humanities, and Delaware Community School.
