Troy Police arrest three people following drug investigation

Troy Police Assistant Chief Steven Barker tells us three arrests were made on October 31 following an investigation into drug activity in the city.

Gregory L. Clark, 34, Xavier J. Carr, 23, and Katrice L. Malloy, 54, all from Troy, were arrested as a result of the investigation, said police.

The Troy Police Department Emergency Response Team, assisted by the Albany Police Department Emergency Services Team, conducted court-ordered search warrants at two locations in Troy in connection to an ongoing investigation involving drugs and weapons.

Officials say the searched locations were a residence at 399 3rd St., and an apartment in Country Garden Apartments on Colleen Road.

Searches at both locations resulted in detectives and evidence technicians seizing a loaded firearm, cocaine, U.S. currency, and drug-packaging supplies, said police.

Authorities say Clark, Carr, and Malloy were taken into custody on Thursday and brought to Troy Police’s Central Station for processing.

Clark was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon (loaded firearm) and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon (previous conviction).

Carr and Malloy were charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, each with one count with the intent to sell.

Police say all three were arraigned in Troy City Court.
