Police: Amsterdam woman arrested after giving fake names linked to warrants
An Amsterdam woman is facing multiple charges after police said she gave a false identity that also had outstanding warrants.
A deputy stopped Frankie L. Ballou, 33, on Sunday, Dec. 1 in the parking lot of Dunkin’ on Route 30 in the town of Amsterdam.
Ballou provided a false name, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
That name was linked to open criminal cases. Ballou was arrested on charges that included aggravated unlicensed operation, unlicensed operator, uninspected motor vehicle and criminal impersonation.
Her license has been suspended several times, investigators said.
She was arraigned and sent to Montgomery County Jail. More charges are possible, investigators said.
