A local organization is using expressive arts as an equalizer across cultural and economic barriers in Saratoga and Schenectady County communities.

C.R.E.A.T.E. Community Studios offers both online and in-person classes and workshops to provide a space where the benefits of art-making impact both the individual and the community. It formed in 2017.

Co-founder Julie Lewis says it’s been great to see the idea come to fruition to meet a need in the community.

The studio focuses on the process of art making rather than the end product, working to bring people out of isolation and into community.

This story comes to us from the Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce.
