Troy’s mayor strikes optimistic tone after Hochul’s State of the State

Troy Mayor Carmela Mantello gave her thoughts on Governor Hochul's State of the State address.

Troy Mayor Carmella Mantello gave her thoughts Wednesday on Gov. Kathy Hochul’s State of The State Address, which took place on Tuesday.

Mantello attended the address at The Egg.

The Republican said the governor made some good proposals, especially for her city.

“Some good monies, like I said, for economic development for the city of Troy, monies for one monument, and just the overall optimism here in the city of Troy,” said Montello. “We constantly strive to be a more affordable city, cleaner and safer.”

There is still more work Mantello wants to see done, she said.
