Cohoes home condemned after fire

A Cohoes home has been condemned after a fire on Wednesday.

The fire broke at 165 Congress St. out around 10:45 a.m. Several local departments battled the blaze. One firefighter was injured.

A dog, snake, mice and lizard were all rescued.

NewsChannel 13 has reached out to find a cause, but has not heard back yet.

The fire chief told NewsChannel 13 there were issues with a couple of hydrants, which caused it to take longer to bring the fire under control.
