Aspiring North Dakota pilot takes flight in private plane

A Girl Scout from North Dakota is soaring to new heights through her involvement in scouting.
Arabella, 11, was recently invited to speak at a scouting event.
In her speech, she talked about wanting to become a professional pilot when she grows up.
Bismarck Aero Center’s FBO Director Shae Helling heard Arabella’s speech and invited her to fly with him.
The FAA says less than 6% of pilots in the United States are women.
The minimum age to earn a pilot’s license is 17 years old. Arabella says she plans to go to flight school as soon as she’s old enough.
Arabella hopes her dream inspires others to follow their goals.
