A $1,000 reward is now being offered for information about a dog found near death in Schenectady.
Someone living on Cresse Avenue saw the pit bull lying in the snow Monday morning.
It was brought to an animal hospital, where it later died.
Police say the dog had no collar or microchip.
The New York State Humane Association is offering the reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
