For the first time since 2019, a critical resource is available in-person again for mothers going through custody battles.
Through their own experiences in the family court system, two local women are spearheading an effort to provide guidance and support for mothers going through similar struggles.
Dr. Mo Hannah is a professor at Siena College, and she’s the founder of the Battered Mothers Custody Conference.
Her students also play a large role in planning the three-day event at The Hangar at 743 at Albany International Airport. It’s a sorority of sorts that is now more than 15 years strong.
The conference runs from April 29 to May 1. More than 150 people are expected to attend, with a variety of guest speakers and panel discussions. There’s still time to attend if you would like.
