Albany cops put on leave as deadly crash investigation continues

NewsChannel 13 has learned that two Albany police officers involved in what led up to a deadly crash in Albany are on administrative leave.

The department says putting officers on administrative leave is standard policy for a pending investigation.

Tea’Shawn Walker, 13, died when police say the driver of a stolen car fled police and crashed twice, coming to a stop at Broadway and Lawn Avenue.

Six teens were in the car – all between 13 and 15 years old and too young to drive.

The New York State Attorney General’s Office announced on Tuesday they are also investigating the crash.
