Albany County reports record high jump in COVID cases

Albany County is reporting its highest number of new daily COVID cases since the pandemic began.
In a written update on Friday, County Executive Dan McCoy said there are 1,586 new cases.
Two more people died, a woman in her 40s and a woman in her 90s. That brings the county’s pandemic death toll to 484.
There are 113 people in the county hospitalized, a net decrease of 12.
There are 18 people in the ICU, down one from the day before.
