Albany Police are investigating a shooting on Clinton Avenue
Albany Police are currently investigating a shooting that occurred on Clinton Avenue Sunday night.
There was a heavy police presence Sunday night. A WNYT crew counted at least 16 evidence markers.
On Sunday, July 25th at approximately 9:00 p.m., officers responded to the area of Clinton Avenue and Lexington Avenue for reports of a shooting. Shortly after the call, a 32-year-old man entered the emergency room at Albany Medical Center with gunshot wounds to his arms.
He is currently being treated at the hospital for what appear to be non-life threatening injuries.
Police were on scene asking neighbors if they had seen anything.

This latest shooting comes after Mayor Kathy Sheehan declared a state of emergency due to the gun violence in the city.
