Charcuterie is the art of assembling meats and cheeses along with items such as fruit, nuts and crackers for quick and easy hors d’oeuvres.

NewsChannel 13 told you about a group of foodies in Little Falls last month who set out to crush the world record for longest charcuterie board. It appears they have done so.

Brie Iannotti of Amsterdam participated in helping set that record. She explained how it’s done.

She says step one is the cheese, at least three different kinds. Then the meat, also three varieties. Add some fruit, in this case, bright berries. You also can’t forget the veggies. Then add the accessories like crackers, nuts, bread, etc. Then add a sweet touch at the end.

"A lot of times in Charcuterie, it’s like a fun little puzzle that you have to try to find the pieces that fit," said Iannotti.

She loves making charcuterie boards so much that she started her own business.
