Aviation Mall GM’s fun mischief putting smiles on shoppers’ faces

QUEENSBURY – Shoppers at Aviation Mall in Queensbury have been giving some strange looks to mall General Manager James Griffith, and he’s okay with it.

Griffith likes to have a good time and he likes people to think about Aviation Mall, so he’s making videos that accomplish both.

He’s been the Tom Cruise character from "Risky Business," the John Travolta character from "Saturday Night Fever," and most recently, "Buddy the Elf."

Griffith has been general manager of the mall for four years. Lately, he’s also starring in videos that he’s creating with his marketing director and posting to social media.

They re-created the Santa scene from "Elf," the perfume scene, and the sleeping in the store scene.

Shoppers love it and so do people who are watching on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
