Bear spotted in Colonie neighborhood

A bear was seen roaming through a neighborhood in the village of Colonie early Wednesday morning.
A surveillance camera caught the bear near a home on Pine Avenue.
According to the state Department of Environmental Conservation, there are about 8,000 black bears living in New York state.
Colonie police shared the video along with some information on living with bears.
