Some residents in the Cambridge School District are pushing back against the state Education Department’s ruling on the Indian nickname and emblem.
NewsChannel 13’s media partners at the Post-Star report supporters of the nickname put up a "restore the pride" billboard on state Route 22 south of the village.
As NewsChannel 13 reported, the district has until July to drop its nickname and imagery.
Commissioner Betty Rosa reversed a decision by the school board to reinstate the name, which had been retired last June.
