Bird rescued from Guilderland Service Area on Thruway

GUILDERLAND – A bird is recovering after being rescued from the Guilderland Service Area on the Thruway.

The Thruway Authority says the bird was found outside the rest area over the weekend.

A local animal rescue group says the bird is likely domesticated and was either lost or left there.

The bird is doing well and being checked out by a local veterinarian.
