Pittsfield-native Chris Mazdzer is the reigning silver medalist in Men’s Single’s Luge. However, his chances of qualifying for the 2022 Winter Games in Beijing are in jeopardy after he broke his foot in a training accident a couple of weeks ago.
Mazdzer is now scrambling to make Team USA.
He just had surgery for the broken foot, and now has pins, screws and cadaver bones in there to fix it.
Now the bigger issue quickly becomes his timeline to return to the sport.
