Capital Region Heart Walk raises $400k and counting

As of Sunday, the American Heart Association has raised $400,000 with their annual Capital Region Heart Walk.
Walkers came out to a new location Sunday for the first time in-person since 2019.
They celebrated this year’s heart hero, Gabe Greenberg, at the Harriman Campus.
He’s now just 6 years old, and was born with two congenital heart defects.
His mother, a registered nurse at Albany Med says Gabe was diagnosed at just 24 hours old.
Now an active kindergartner, Gabe has had 12 cardiac operations. More open-heart surgery lies ahead.
Donations can still be made until June 30.
