Capital Region no longer has highest 7-day COVID positivity rate in New York state
The Capital Region no longer has the highest 7-day average of coronavirus in New York state.
Gov. Hochul announced Monday that the average is now 4.62% in the Capital Region, behind Central New York at 4.65%.
Across the state, the daily positivity rate is 3.65%, with a 7-day average of 3.28%.
There are 2,334 people hospitalized with the virus, which is up 53 from the day before.
Sadly, another 26 people across the state died.
Meanwhile, the CDC says nearly 61% of people across the state are fully vaccinated.
