Capital Region’s 7-day COVID positivity rate highest in the state and rising

The Capital Region’s 7-day COVID positivity rate continues to climb.
Gov. Cuomo’s office says it was at 2.24% Thursday. That’s the highest in the state, and the highest it’s been since April.
It’s a big jump from 1.95% on Wednesday.
The 7-day positivity rate in the Mohawk Valley is 1.11%.
The statewide daily positivity is 1.78%, with a 7-day average of 1.58%.
There are 492 people hospitalized statewide, an increase of nine.
Sadly, the state is reporting another new death from COVID.
