Gov. Cuomo says masks requirements in schools will remain in place for now. That is not sitting well with one district already fighting to get rid of masks inside their school buildings.

Mohonasen School Superintendent Shannon Shine was hoping to hear the governor say on Tuesday he no longer has to require the students in his district to wear masks.

However, Gov. Cuomo says the Centers for Disease Control’s federal mandate for masks in schools continues.

Anger has already been brewing in the district after confusion earlier this month when the health department put out a notice saying the state was going to ease mask wearing in schools.

That left schools and parents confused, and scrambling that weekend, only to find out come Monday, masks are still required inside.
Superintendent Shine said with Tuesday’s announcement, he feels parents will be angry once again.
