A fund honoring Philip Rabadi has surpassed his family’s goal of raising $50,000 to help students attending Albany Medical College, his alma mater where he studied to be a physician assistant. Late Wednesday morning, the fund was up to $51,756.
Rabadi was killed at his home in New Scotland on April 13. He was a physician assistant at St. Peter’s Hospital.
His cousin tells NewsChannel 13 he went into medicine to give back to the Albany community where he was raised and educated.
His family set up the new fund at his alma mater to help other bright young students from Albany follow his legacy of service.
The family is calling on the community to help double their goal in honor of Rabadi. Click here to donate.
