Gillibrand highlights benefits of infrastructure bill for NY

Now that President Biden the massive infrastructure bill, billions of dollars will soon be coming to New York state.

During a virtual press conference on Wednesday, Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand talked Wednesday about how the money will be used. Gillibrand broke down how much money our state will see.

It includes $100 million allocated for broadband coverage across the state, $11.6 billion focused on improving highways, $1 billion focused on hiring local, and billions more helping with public transportation, green energy, and water infrastructure.

"These investments will keep our communities connected, keep our economy moving, save us money in the long run and create good jobs in the process," said Gillibrand.

New York state will actually be getting $27 billion total.
