Greene County pair charged in string of burglaries
Greene County sheriff’s deputies have arrested two people in connection with a string of burglaries in the Ashland area.
Maria Uvino, 30, and James Hartley, 38, live in Ashland.
They were sent to the county jail.
Uvino was arrested Monday after a homeowner heard someone in his garage trying to break into his kitchen.
Hartley fled the area, but was found Wednesday morning in a vacant house on County Route 10.
Deputies say Hartley fired several shots through a window at them, but eventually surrendered.
Uvino was sent to jail on $50,000 bail.
Hartley is being held without bail.
