Nearly two dozen large-scale renewable energy products will soon be popping up across the state. These are to deliver clean, affordable energy to New Yorkers.
Gov. Hochul made the announcement on Thursday. She said these projects will power more than 620,000 homes, spur nearly $3 billion in private investment and create more than 3,000 jobs.
Here’s where those projects will be located across our area:
In Washington County, facilities will be built in Fort Edward, Argyle and Easton.
In Schenectady County, residents will see them in Duanesburg and Rotterdam.
Schaghticoke in Rensselaer County, and Stuyvesant in Columbia County are on the list.
There will also be facilities in Root, and Glen in Montgomery County and in Mayfield, Fulton County.
