Gov. Kathy Hochul held her latest COVID briefing on Wednesday morning.
With a decision as soon as Halloween on children ages 5 to 11 getting the Pfizer COVID vaccine, the governor said pediatricians need to start preparing.
"This is going to be a game changer for us. There is so much anxiety among parents right now as we saw increases, more so in on other parts of the country but certainly in our own state," said Hochul. "I’ll be doing a Zoom call with pediatricians and all the other individuals involved in the decision to get the vaccine available and make sure it’s plentiful for all the pediatricians’ offices."
Hochul also got her flu shot during the press conference, to encourage New Yorkers to get theirs.
