A cat from Pennsylvania took an incredible journey and found his way to Fort Plain, and the Montgomery County SPCA.
It was all figured out by the cat’s microchip.
Staff at the MCSPCA scanned the chip to find the cat’s owner’s information. Turns out his home was Williamsport, Pennsylvania, over 200 miles away.
His name is Dex, and his story shows the importance of microchipping.
The chip gives off a signal, which is connected to a nationwide database.
