GUILDERLAND – There was a large police presence on Western Avenue in Guilderland Friday afternoon.

Police surrounded the Bank of America near Fuller Road and could be heard negotiating with someone inside.

They say that man, 19-year-old Kajaro Evans, gave a teller a note that he would blow the bank up if he didn’t get cash.

Customers and employees got out safely, while police negotiated with Evans inside.

He was arrested a short time later.
