Massachusetts is downsizing its stop the spread testing program.
The program currently offers COVID testing and resources from the state, but the rapid decline of testing has the state cutting down on sites.
That means no more free asymptomatic COVID-19 testing at Berkshire Health Systems sites in Pittsfield, Great Barrington and North Adams.
There will be testing providers available in the county, but you’ll have to pay through insurance or out of pocket.
You can order free at-home testing kits from the federal government.
A second round of ordering is now underway. That means you can order four additional tests.
