Multiple agencies respond to Rosewood Gardens after nurses didn’t show up for work

Multiple agencies responded to Rosewood Gardens Rehabilitation and Nursing Center Saturday after a number of nurses did not show up for work.

The response was called after a lack of required nursing supervision. Multiple nurses did not show up for thier morning shift which caused residents to not receive their medication. Federal regulation requires a licensied nurse to be on site at all times in order to administer medication.

State and local agencies responded Saturday morning to ensure care and safety for Rosewood residents. The Department of Health, Burea of Public Safety, Bruen Rescue Squad, Mohawk Ambulance, Albany Medical Center and other emergency services all arrived on the scene.

The facility released a statement saying they were able to bring in nurses and that all residetns are safe and remain at the facility.
