New York has lowest 7-day average in the country
Gov. Cuomo is touting New York’s record low seven-day and single-day COVID-19 positivity rates, as reported by Johns Hopkins University.
The statewide seven-day average positivity is 0.42%, a record low for 16 consecutive days. The figure has been on the decline for the last 69 days.
The statewide single-day positivity is 0.35%.
Just over 45,000 vaccine doses have been administered in the last 24 hours. The vaccination rate for adults in New York is 69.7%
There were eight COVID-19 deaths in New York since yesterday.
