A man from Newark, New Jersey admits he tried to meet an 11-year-old girl in Watervliet for sex.
Tristan Warner pleaded guilty Tuesday in federal court in Albany to attempted online enticement of a minor.
Warner exchanged text messages and phone calls with a person he thought was the girl’s mother. It turned out to be an undercover police officer, and Warner was arrested when he arrived in Watervliet.
He brought stuffed animals and condoms with him.
Warner faces 10 years in prison and a maximum fine of $250,000.
