No fans allowed: RPI to restrict "general public" from hockey games

RPI is creating something of its own bubble for the upcoming hockey season. In an email to season ticket holders, the school said the general public is not allowed to attend games, only faculty, staff and students "who are fully compliant with the Institute’s COVID-19 protocols." That same email also says "the situation could change rapidly" and "the Institute is prepared to pivot accordingly based on circumstances."

The Engineers open the season at home on Friday, October 8th. It will be RPI’s first hockey game since the start of the pandemic forced the team out of the ECAC Tournament in March of 2020.
