NY state ban on Styrofoam begins in 2022

A statewide ban on the use of Styrofoam containers and packaging material starts on New Year’s Day.
Restaurants, hospitals, schools and retail stores will have to find alternatives to those cups and plates and clamshell containers.
The goal is to keep all that waste out of our landfills.
